Call for Papers
Special Session for COMPSE 2018, MARCH 2-3 2018. Bangkok, Thailand
Recent Development in Feature Selection, Classification, and Prediction of Big Data
Motivation
Big data has now become a critical part of the business world and daily life, which contains big information and big knowledge. One of a very common issues with big data is its dimension (high dimensionality of the variable) which needs to be reduced in order to simplify the analytical process without losing any information. In this case, the dimension can be reduced by selecting relevant features. Furthermore, the goals of analyzing big data usually belong to the class of classification and prediction. Many approaches (both statistically and computationally-based methods) have been developed to overcome the problems of working with big data dealing with the feature selection, classification and prediction issues. To find a simple, fast and reliable ways remain a challenge in the big data community. In this COMPSE 2018, we invite submissions of papers to the Special Session on recent development in feature selection, classification and prediction of big data.
This special session covers any topics to deal with the feature selection, classification, and prediction of big data as follows, but not limited to:
- Comparison study
- Empirical study/ application
- Machine learning
- Statistical modelling
- Artificial intellegence
Any other relevant topics are welcome.
